Short answer: most cannabis payment options are the same commodity, pay-by-bank (ACH), because Visa and Mastercard rules don't allow cannabis on cards. Dutchie Pay by Bank, BLAZEPAY ACH, Flowhub Pay, and POSaBIT Pay only work inside their own POS, and Aeropay and Greencard are payment networks. All of them are payments only. Spendr, the publisher of this guide, is pay-by-bank plus Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing; it works with any POS (including a Spendr button inside Dutchie POS) and doesn't require an app download. Salt, CanPay, and Paybotic are other common options.

Cannabis stores still cannot take ordinary Visa/Mastercard. The real category is cannabis payments via pay-by-bank (ACH) and related cashless options — not “credit card processing.”
Two product shapes:
Pay-by-bank built into Dutchie, BLAZE, Flowhub, or POSaBIT. Each one only works inside its own POS and is payments only: no customer rewards or marketing. If you change POS, you change payment providers too.
Spendr: pay-by-bank plus Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing that brings them back. Works with any POS, including a Spendr button inside Dutchie POS. Customers pay in the app or on the web, with no download required.
Pay-by-bank networks like Aeropay and Greencard plug into many POS brands, but like POS-native ACH they are payments only.
Disclosure: this guide is written and published by Spendr, so Spendr is listed first. The other providers are grouped by product type, not ranked. Competitor details come from each vendor's public website, checked October 27, 2026. Stats are each vendor's own published numbers, not a head-to-head study. Pricing is not covered; ask each vendor directly.
Customers link a bank and pay by QR code or right from their phone, in the Spendr app or on the web (no download required). Payments can come straight from the bank; a wallet balance is optional. Spendr guarantees every payment: no chargeback or return risk for the merchant. Spendr funds the rewards your customers earn (the public offer is up to $25: $10 for linking a bank plus $5 each at $50, $100, and $200 spent), and retailers and brands can add their own. No new hardware. Works with any POS: a Spendr button inside Dutchie POS, integrations with Flourish, Treez, Sweed, and Weave, and an offline tender on any other system.
Published (spendr.com/business): 22% average increase in transaction value; 98% retention after first purchase. Jane Dispensary CEO Leigh Anne Baker: people who pay with Spendr spend 27% more.
Limitation: customers link a bank once (in the app or on the web), so adoption depends on staff offering Spendr at the counter.
As of October 2026: live in 15 states.
Embedded pay-by-bank by QR code or payment link, for in-store, online pre-pay, and delivery; customers don't need to download an app. Vendor-reported: no returns or chargebacks for merchants, same-day-or-faster settlement, bank linking in under 15 seconds, and 12,000+ supported banks. Integrations include Jane, Treez, Flowhub, BLAZE, and Weedmaps (goaeropay.com). BLAZEPAY ACH runs on Aeropay.
Vs Spendr: Aeropay is payments only. Spendr adds Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing, and also works without an app download. Some stores run both.
Pay-by-bank built into the Dutchie platform (part of Dutchie Payments) across ecommerce, the branded app, kiosks, delivery, and the register. Vendor-reported (dutchie.com/business/pay-by-bank): next-business-day settlement, 100% chargeback liability coverage, 31% higher average order value vs cash, 57% fewer cancellations on prepaid online orders, and ~2M Pay by Bank customers.
Vs Spendr: Dutchie Pay by Bank only works inside Dutchie and is payments only. Spendr also works inside Dutchie POS through a Spendr payment button, and adds Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing. More than 80% of Spendr dispensaries run Dutchie.
The customer scans a QR code, logs in to their bank, and pays; the sale updates in BLAZE, with no app download. BLAZE's product page lists a same-day ACH settlement option (its support FAQ says payments settle within a business day) and optional tipping (blaze.me/products/blazepay/ach). BLAZEPAY ACH is powered by Aeropay.
Vs Spendr: BLAZEPAY ACH only works inside BLAZE and is payments only. Spendr works on BLAZE as an offline tender and adds Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing.
Payments built into Flowhub, with auto-populated totals (no double keying) and optional tipping; settlement within two business days (flowhub.com/payments). Flowhub's online pay-by-bank runs through Aeropay. Flowhub publishes that the average Flowhub Pay transaction is 33% higher than cash (vendor-reported).
Vs Spendr: Flowhub Pay only works inside Flowhub and is payments only. Spendr works alongside it and adds Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing.
ACH (“Bill My Bank”), PIN debit, and cashless ATM options (saltmoney.com). Standard settlement is 1–2 business days, and payments reconcile automatically against POS records. Salt also offers POS, finance, and loyalty products. Confirm which payment type you'd use: ACH, PIN debit, and cashless ATMs carry different compliance considerations.
Vs Spendr: Salt is a payments suite sold to the operator. Spendr adds Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing. Both aim to reduce cash handling.
CanPay — a pay-by-bank app for customers, with CanPay Points rewards. Customers pay in-store with a Payment Code generated in the app, and merchants must bank with a CanPay-approved financial institution (canpaydebit.com). The closest product to Spendr's app-plus-rewards model.
Paybotic — cannabis banking plus ACH payments for retail, delivery, curbside, and ecommerce (paybotic.com). A different product shape from a customer wallet; ask about current payment types and compliance.
POSaBIT Pay is ACH-based pay-by-bank for online and in-store purchases. It sits alongside POSaBIT One, a handheld payments device with tip options, split payments, loyalty redemption, multiple processor support, and debit acceptance. It integrates with POSaBIT POS and POSaBIT Menus. POSaBIT describes itself as empowering cannabis commerce since 2015 (posabit.com/payments-features).
Vs Spendr: POSaBIT is a POS-plus-payments stack, and it fits best if you already run POSaBIT POS. Spendr adds Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing, and works with any POS, including POSaBIT.
Pay-by-bank (ACH) in-store, online, and by text. Bank linking runs through MX, and balance and risk checks run before the debit. Vendor-reported: +70% average transaction value vs cash, 400+ “merchants onboarded or onboarding,” live in all 50 states, and serving cannabis since 2023. Listed POS integrations: Proteus420, Cova, MJ Software, Alleaves, Acadia, and Biotrack. ISOs and platforms can white-label the same network (paygreencard.com).
Vs Spendr: Greencard is a pay-by-bank network, closer to Aeropay than to Spendr, and payments only. Spendr adds Spendr-funded rewards for your customers and marketing on top of ACH.
Ask vendors, in this order:
1. What rail is this? ACH pay-by-bank, closed-loop wallet, PIN debit, or cashless ATM? Those are not interchangeable.
2. Does it post into my POS? Native vs offline tender.
3. Who funds rewards? Store, brand, or the payments company.
4. Does the customer need an app?
5. Settlement and returns. Same-day or next-day, and who absorbs ACH returns?
6. Will this still work if I change POS?
In one sentence: every option here moves money by ACH; Spendr is the one that also funds rewards for your customers and markets your store, on any POS, with or without an app.
